How to Set Up the Three-Way Bridge

01

Connect Slack

Authorize via OAuth 2.0 with channels:read, channels:history, and chat:write scopes.

02

Connect Teams

Sign in with Microsoft 365 admin or delegated account. SyncRivo uses ChannelMessage.Read.All and Send via Graph API.

03

Connect Webex

Authorize with your Cisco Webex account. SyncRivo requests spark:messages_read and spark:messages_write only.

04

Map channels

Select Slack channels, Teams channels, and Webex spaces to bridge. Real-time sync begins immediately.

Who Uses This Integration

Cisco-heavy enterprises

Organizations with deep Cisco infrastructure investments (UCM, Webex Rooms, CUCM) that also support Slack for engineering and Teams for corporate.

Financial services firms

Banks and financial institutions with Webex-based compliance recording who need to interoperate with fintech partners on Slack and internal teams on Microsoft 365.

Post-acquisition integration

When an acquirer uses Teams, the acquired company uses Slack, and legacy systems run on Cisco Webex, SyncRivo connects all three on Day 1.

IT teams managing migrations

Mid-migration from Webex to Teams or Slack, SyncRivo keeps all three platforms connected so communication never goes dark during transition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. SyncRivo bridges all three simultaneously. A message in any platform reaches the mapped channels in the other two typically within seconds, including full thread, @mention, and file sync.

This is common in large enterprises and post-M&A scenarios: engineering teams standardize on Slack, IT/HR on Teams, and legacy telecommunications or Cisco-heavy infrastructure teams on Webex. SyncRivo eliminates the communication silos between them.

Yes. SyncRivo connects to Webex Messaging via the Webex REST API. This covers persistent 1:1 messages and spaces — the chat layer of the Webex platform.

SyncRivo requests spark:messages_read and spark:messages_write scopes via OAuth. It does not require access to Webex Meetings, calling, or device management.

Yes. You choose which Webex spaces, Teams channels, and Slack channels to include in the bridge. Unselected spaces are never accessed or modified.

Native Teams-Webex federation (via Microsoft and Cisco partnership) covers meeting interoperability but has limited persistent chat sync. SyncRivo provides full real-time messaging federation across all three platforms including thread context and file attachments.

SyncRivo offers a BAA for Enterprise customers. Message content is not stored on the normal relay path — only message IDs are kept to sync threads, edits and reactions. SyncRivo does not currently hold a SOC 2 report; we provide a security questionnaire and architecture review on request.

The first channel bridge is typically live during onboarding, once your platform admins approve the apps. Each platform requires an OAuth authorization and channel selection. No code, no webhooks to configure manually.
