How to Set Up the Three-Way Bridge

01

Connect Google Chat

A Google Workspace admin approves the SyncRivo app (listed on the Google Workspace Marketplace). No service account is required. Choose the Google Chat spaces to bridge.

02

Connect Zoom

A Zoom admin approves the SyncRivo app from the Zoom App Marketplace and authorizes it with OAuth. Select the Zoom Team Chat channels to bridge.

03

Connect Webex

Install SyncRivo from the Webex App Hub and authorize it with your Cisco Webex account. Pick the Webex spaces to bridge.

04

Map channels

Connect one channel from each platform into a three-way bridge in the SyncRivo dashboard. Post a test message; it should appear on the other two platforms within seconds.

Who Uses This Integration

Google Workspace + Cisco sites

Organizations with Google Workspace for productivity and Cisco Webex for site communications who also deploy Zoom for external video meetings with customers and partners.

Multi-vendor video environments

Companies standardized on Google Chat for daily collaboration but using both Zoom and Webex for different customer-facing or partner communication needs.

Post-acquisition teams

When an acquired company uses Google Workspace with Google Chat and the acquirer runs Zoom and Webex for different business units — SyncRivo connects all three on Day 1.

Platform consolidation windows

Mid-migration from Webex or Zoom to Google Chat, SyncRivo keeps all three platforms synchronized so users can move at their own pace without losing communication.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. SyncRivo bridges all three in real time. Messages sent in any platform are delivered to the mapped channels in the other two typically within seconds, preserving thread context, @mentions, and file attachments.

This scenario arises in organizations where engineering teams use Google Workspace and Google Chat, customer-facing teams have adopted Zoom for video, and legacy infrastructure or acquired companies run on Cisco Webex Messaging.

Yes. SyncRivo connects to Google Chat Spaces via the Google Chat API. You authorize with a Google Workspace admin account and select specific spaces to include in the bridge.

SyncRivo requires the Chat API to be enabled in your Google Cloud project and uses OAuth scopes for reading and sending messages in selected Chat spaces. No access to Google Drive, Gmail, or other Workspace products is requested.

SyncRivo bridges Zoom Team Chat (the persistent messaging product within Zoom), not Zoom Meetings. This is a real-time messaging integration, not a meeting or video scheduling bridge.

SyncRivo matches users by email address across all three platforms. When a user is @mentioned in one platform, SyncRivo identifies their counterpart in the destination platforms and triggers a native @mention notification when that person is in the synced directory (otherwise the mention arrives as plain text).

SyncRivo provides a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and sub-processor list. Message content is not stored on the normal relay path. Processing is hosted in the US (Google Cloud us-central1). SyncRivo does not currently hold a SOC 2 report; we provide a security questionnaire and architecture review on request.

The first channel bridge is typically live during onboarding, once your platform admins approve the apps. Connect Google Workspace, Zoom, and Webex via their respective OAuth flows, then select the channels and spaces to bridge. No coding or webhook configuration is required.
