Your engineers live in Slack. Your IT operations team lives in Teams. When PagerDuty fires, both need to see it — immediately. SyncRivo bridges PagerDuty alerts across all five enterprise messaging platforms in under 100ms, with full thread sync for acknowledgements, replies, and resolutions.

The PagerDuty Multi-Platform Problem

Split engineering and IT teams

Engineering runs on Slack. IT operations runs on Teams. PagerDuty can only notify one platform natively — leaving the other team blind to incidents until they check manually.

M&A Day-1 incident visibility

Post-merger, acquired and acquirer teams use different platforms. When production goes down, both teams need real-time alerts — before IT has had time to standardize on one platform.

Duplicate PagerDuty integrations drift

Maintaining two separate PagerDuty service integrations (one for Slack, one for Teams) doubles configuration overhead and causes divergence — different routing rules, different escalation paths.

Thread context lost across platforms

When acknowledgements, workaround notes, and resolution messages only appear in one platform, the other team's war room has an incomplete incident timeline — slowing resolution.

How SyncRivo Bridges PagerDuty Across Platforms

SyncRivo sits between your messaging platforms — not between PagerDuty and your platforms. You keep your existing PagerDuty → Slack integration unchanged. SyncRivo mirrors the incident thread to Teams (and any other platform) in real time.

Full thread sync: acknowledgements, replies, and resolutions bridge bidirectionally
Single PagerDuty configuration — no duplicating service integrations
Identity mapping: engineers appear by name in both platforms
Sub-100ms latency — incident alerts reach both platforms simultaneously
Any-to-any routing: add Webex, Zoom, or Google Chat with one toggle
Zero data retention: messages transit SyncRivo but are never stored

Setup Guide: PagerDuty → Slack → Teams

Under 30 minutes from sign-up to first cross-platform incident alert.

  1. 1

    Configure PagerDuty → Slack notification

In PagerDuty, add Slack as a notification channel for your service. Create or designate a dedicated incidents channel (e.g., #incidents or #on-call) where PagerDuty will post alerts. This becomes the source channel SyncRivo bridges from.

  2. 2

    Connect SyncRivo to Slack

Sign up for SyncRivo (free tier, no credit card required). In the dashboard, authorize your Slack workspace via OAuth2. Select the PagerDuty incidents channel as the source channel for bridging.

  3. 3

    Connect SyncRivo to Microsoft Teams

In the SyncRivo dashboard, authorize your Microsoft Teams tenant via OAuth2. No admin-level API keys required — standard user OAuth is sufficient for channel bridging. Select or create the destination Teams channel (e.g., "Incidents" in your IT Operations team).

  4. 4

Map channels and activate the bridge

In SyncRivo, create a bidirectional bridge from the Slack #incidents channel to the Teams Incidents channel. Enable thread sync so acknowledgements, comments, and resolutions propagate across both platforms. Toggle the bridge to active.

  5. 5

    Test with a PagerDuty incident

Trigger a test incident in PagerDuty. The alert posts to Slack. SyncRivo syncs it to Teams within 100ms. Reply in Slack — the reply appears in Teams. Acknowledge or resolve in either platform — the update syncs across both.

Enterprise Use Cases

Post-M&A IT Unification

Two companies, two messaging platforms, one production environment. SyncRivo ensures both IT teams receive PagerDuty alerts on Day 1 — before the messaging platform consolidation project is even scoped.
